This actually happened this morning. The positive side of this…is I finally had something to draw…😑
…Mama is peacefully sleeping. Not dreaming just sleeping! In the darkness…”mama…mama…”Hmmm? …??…no…Please no…no…CLICK!Light! Blahhhhh!“No Eli. Turn it off!”She was tanking the pillow off my face as she yelled at me. I knew it was early…but not that early…ugh…Mama is not happy…😒
…
You know those days where something wakes you up and you just know it’s early…that’s awful in itself… Then add the flooding of light…!
Why does she always wake up early on Sundays. I try and make her sleep in so she will be in a happy mood for church. But nope. She foils my plans every week.
I’ve been awake now 3 hours 11 min. Please pray for my head… because the exhaustion headache is going to be real later…
Again…no comic but I do have a drawing. Another picture of my sweetness. ❤️
Drawing with color always takes more time. It’s strange, when I draw the comics with pen I have no hesitation…even though, if I make a mistake it is permanent.
But with markers I worry. I think it’s because if you put the wrong color you can’t fudge your mistake as easily as a black line.
This was day one. I’m still not the best at capturing her expressions…The Parade By emily2jane 07-21-21
I’m also not the best at proportions. All my schooling from my life drawing class has left my brain. I guess it’s time to take out that notebook…
Enjoy your Friday! Maybe be filled with smiles!! 😊
Bedtime!Eli is finally asleep and in her own bed ❤️Now mama’s turn…😪“No…no…!”Eli!!Just a dream…sleep…“Stop…stop!”“Eli…”😢“Think of something happy…”Snuggles…🥰
Right when I needed something happy she woke up, crawled into bed with me, and gave me a hug. 🥺 My little sweet sweet taking care of mama even while sleeping.
I can’t even recall what the nightmares were, but they were enough for me to almost decide to get up at 3:30am…
My sweet baby girl 💕
Give a hug to your sweet thing; whomever it may be! 🥰
The Beach!!Chase the cousins!!The wind, the sand, the…The ocean! It should be a peaceful relaxed day for mama 😎What? Wait!?! NO!!!!Runaway baby, straight to the water…!I compromised. Went waist deep but must stay with mama. Long exciting day! She napped the whole way home 🥰
So normally when little kids see the ocean for the first time you think… they will be timid, afraid, run away from the waves…
Yeah, no. Once she saw the water that is all she wanted to do. I spent the entire time holding her arms, otherwiseshe would have booked it out farther. 😳
We were at the beach for almost 4 hours and probably 3 of it was spent in the water. We played in the sand for a smidge. But two things ruined that idea. One: she was over it when I showed her the sand crabs. “She doesn’t like bugs.” Second: the water would destroy her castles, so it seemed like she gave up. 🤣
But overall it was a fun day. But I should say since we went out to waist deep, I spent the day lifting her up when a wave would seem to high. So I assumed the slight squat position while arm curling for those 3 hours. I was so sore the next day…
Hiking!Actually the first time she can walk on her own following Daddy. So big! With her backpack and ponytail! The river was rushing…Then…Mama and baby cross the bridge! (Finally a picture with mama)My two favorite people!! ❤️What is this you might ask? A spider nest the size of two hands…Yeah…nope! I zoomed in to the photo so that you could see…I was not getting closer…Stop looking! Catch up to the family…!?!A sleeping baby on the drive home…❤️
Our very first legit hike. Not one where I had to carry her the entire time. Not one where she got angry 10min in…
We did leave after about 20min. Because a storm was coming, and I didn’t want to attempt this hike wet and muddy…with a two year old…
But still it was a fun day. And it was filled with such sweet moments.
This Spring is more like Summer… I’m missing the cooler temperatures here…
It’s hotter here than where my family lives…🥵Warm weather does mean…walks in the neighborhood. Water time with Daddy!! We got a small pool. Eli loves the water. Warmer weather means happy moods.Funny faces contests…!Splish splash!! More pool time!!While making lunch she shoved an entire carrot in her mouth. (Her hair was also crazy!)Day is over. Now time for sleep…Just happy days ending with happiness! ❤️
When the warm weather is here it means we can do more things. Yes it means that Eli overheats in any temperature above 65 degrees, but playing in water she survives.
I hope your days can be warm, and spent with family! 💕
Chips…!Self explanatory. But instead of going to the store and spending money I decided to make some chips. Also they are healthier! Chips on one side, dinner on the other…So delicious looking!! But I’ve got to focus on making dinner or they all will be gone before dinner is done…Teriyaki chicken with broccoli! Should be yummy! But…Patience…have patience…Chips. Chips. Chips. Chips. Okay this is ridiculous. Having one should be okay…!😦Oh no…Wonderful…😑
So almost all of the chips were moist and had bites taken out of them… I got to eat a few, but most of them will be put into an Elizabeth bag. Elizabeth approves of my chips at least, but it is so sad.
I hope you enjoy your Thursday!! Hide you chips from your two year old…

❤️Since it was such a warm day…we walked to the store , Elizabeth and Daddy got ice cream. She got messy of course! (Mine was at the house already.)I asked for a smile and I got her go to expression…stick out tongue. She asked for my sunglasses. She wanted to match daddy. 😂Oh so cool! 😎And then the sweetest thing happened!! Wait for it….!!!!My first flower from my baby 🥰🌸Mama is happy 😊 Finish the happy day off with daddy, while watching the train fly by.❤️Original by emil2jane 05-01-21
It was a beautiful day. Hopefully more like that to come! Have a happy Sunday! 🤩
These days do happen, but rarely…Baby’s breakfast is prepared and looking yummy!!Making our breakfasted has become just a routine…I can be done in less than 10min now. 😎 I decided to eat my peanut butter honey toast in the kitchen standing up. As I finished my last bite…Elizabeth had finished hers…WOW!She also…put her dishes in the sink and counter when she was done…I was surprised but also quite proud…Now this I think is the biggest surprise for me…!Like always doing the dishes after dinner. When a sudden, “Mama!” told me it must be that time. Potty time!! When she was finally done going potty and ready to go back into the kitchen…I saw this…😳The hubby…was doing…the dishes…🤯Almost exactly the face I had after I saw this…I took a picture when it happened. Just because I knew this would be great comic content. Beware people…beware…Original by emily2jane 4-25-21
Elizabeth now clears her dishes and puts them in the dishwasher. 🥰 It’s so cute!! Also whenever we are watching a movie while eating out ice cream on the couch, she will take our bowls and spoons and put them in the sink. She takes care of mama! 😍
And I really shouldn’t be so shocked about the hubby doing the dishes…but it’s been almost four years since I saw that sight…
I guess… husbands in the world… if you want to confuse your wife do the dishes one night without saying anything… She, like me, will wonder if the world is ending.
Da Da Dunnnnnnn! She was being such a sweet sweet this morning that I wanted a picture of her…I guess it was too much to ask…I preceded to copy her; I sent that picture to my family. Got her ready for church and she looked so cute! Will she smile for grandma…Yes. Yes she will. Mama, no. Grandma, yes. Figures….Lunchtime!!One of the foods that makes her a happy baby…applesauce. Meaning of life for her… Now my turn!I did everything for her first as always. Made her Mac n cheese, gave her applesauce, milk. So I turned my back a second and…Her applesauce is untouched…whereas my apples have been munched upon…She ate all the good parts and left me the peel part. She also gave me back all the bites that were not to her liking. 😒Yes another black rain cloud. It was a rain cloud type of moment.
I still ate my “apple” I’ve gotten used to it. I guess the love of apples has been passed down to Elizabeth. I’ve always loved apples.
Random memory: In the first Harry Potter movie, the scene with the Halloween feast…you see all the meat, candy, desserts, etc. However for me, the first time I saw the movie I was with my sister and I yelled, “APPLES!!” when a basket of them came on screen. The love of apples is good. Haha 😂

It was not a bad day. It was actually a very nice Sunday. I am just feeling some heart break for my apple.
Also, you should know Elizabeth continued, and ate all of her applesauce, and asked for seconds…
