When my brain won’t function properly…I’ll just post a picture I took.
My baby brain is strong these last few weeks; and I know it’s only going to get worse.
My apologies.

Have a wonderful day ❤️

…
Spices,
And smells.
Butter,
And crisp.
Veggies,
And sizzle.
Oh I’ve missed,
That delicious taste.
…
Pretty self explanatory. I cooked our first real meal. It’s been almost two weeks. We’ve been rocking sandwiches. Which I never thought I would get tired of sandwiches. But we did. Maybe except the baby.
But last night was delicious. And since we’ve been eating sandwiches, my serving size has dropped. I guess sandwiches had a good effect.
Have a wonderful Friday. May it be filled with good food!!
Finally the sickness is gone!
I spent yesterday drawing birthday/ holiday cards.
It was the first time in a long time that I got to relax…and do something I enjoy…
Now what I came up with…
He loves Minecraft. I got the inside scoop from my mom and his older brother. It’s not technically the same as the picture I used online…but I’m not going to sell it. It is just a gift. (Cannot sell things when they are not your work.)
Minecraft is hard to draw…at least for me. Since it’s not realistic.
Next was my mom. She asked me if I had any Thanksgiving/ Fall card she could use to send to family this year. I didn’t so I drew one. This was my inspiration…
I actually made this wreath myself…will never again, buy a holiday wreath.
The outcome…
Another original…I enjoy originals. Because they are mine!!
Next…
Another original. But this one has a twist. My daughter did the background paint. Whereas I, as you can probably guess, did the drawing. The drawing is inspired by one of my own photos.
I drew this one for my brother’s birthday. ❤️
And finally… just because I can…
I decided to draw another winter themed card. Just because I can, and now I can add it to my collection.
This one is again inspired by a photograph of mine. It’s not done yet. But this card only took me 30min. To this point.
Maybe sense I spent all day drawing, it came easier this time.
Once I finish this card, I’ll share it with you all.
Enjoy your Thursday! May it be filled with changing colors. 🍂
We decided to build the garage/ shed at the end of our carport. We always seem to do big projects before winter comes. Last time it was the concrete work and the carport installation.
The garage is 8ft x 10ft x 10ft. As the hubby was framing it, I was inside eating lunch with the baby. She was being a troublemaker.
It’s sweet when little kids want to help, but they make it more difficult. But as I’ve been told. It’s good to start them young; because then they will grow up helping.
It is going to be torture to smell this all day as we work.
I really didn’t help for this part. The hubby had his drawn plans, and just did his own thing. I just watched the baby. I felt really useless.
Can it be dinner time now? Nope. Still about 3 hrs to go.
I helped with the rafters. I handed them up to him, and he did all the hard stuff. I was pretty much just a pair of helping hands. Also maybe the mascot.
Meet got done around 5:30pm, but it still had to sit 30min before we could devour it! But back to the project…It gets dark around 6:45pm now. Because winter is coming.
The sweet thing decided to scout out daddy’s creation.
Sine she started dancing. I believe she approves.
I am sorry…I have no other pictures of the meat. I was too hungry to remember. But I can tell you…it was delicious!!
Day 2
Adding the black tar paper made the space feel bigger! Especially not in the sunshine.
This is going to make a huge improvement; also add value.
The space between the shed and garage is about 5ft. So with both overhang there is about 3ft of empty. We might stack wood here; under the garage overhang.
I feel like putting the roof on was where I was most helpful!! The hubby was on the roof. I had to grab a sheet of plywood and hand it up to the hubby. I also had to do this process for the metal paneling. I felt so helpful! And the hubby said I made it a lot easier. Since he didn’t have to go up and down constantly. 😎
Having the roof down and some of the plywood siding done makes it look complete!
So seriously we built a garage , 10 x 8 x 10!, in less than 24hrs. 😎 I feel quite accomplished. But I also have great pride in my hubby!! He did amazing!
Now you shouldn’t be surprised, but we were able to fill the entirety of the garage and there is no more space. Haha! But after I reorganize it, and the hubby makes the shelf and his work table, it will look better.
Finally after a few years we actually have some storage space/ shop on our property!
Have a productive Wednesday. With my back still a little tweaked i will be having a safe, cold Wednesday. ❄️
Today’s post is kind of bland, but I thought I would post some photos I’ve taken.
I’ve edited them as well so that I can paint them in the future.
Hope you enjoy the color today!
At a Subway in West Yellowstone. An interesting place to find such pretty flowers. I really love photographs of flowers. I’ve done this for so many years.
This one I took while we drove home, with the window up. The hubby was going 70! 😎 (Most of my photos are taken when I’m in the passenger seat.
Another photo while on an adventure in the passenger seat. I have several different edit versions of the photo.
Chicken coop and a keep…and quietness! Another adventure. Country living is the best! The wide open spaces and slow paced living.
Aspens as we drove through Idaho. Aspens are one of my favorite of God’s creation. The patchy white and black trunks with the fluttering golden leaves…great combination.
Well have a happy Thursday.
Try taking a photo today. Of anything! And edit it in a way you normally wouldn’t; you might surprise yourself. The shadows are key with edits. 💛
Yesterday I moved non stop from twelve o’clock in the afternoon to eight forty-five at night. My body is hurting.
The hubby has been saying his stress eye has been acting up, because the house has been clustered with bins. I think he mild claustrophobic side was being pressured. So I did the deed…
I cleaned. And cleaned. And cleaned. I unpacked almost all of the bins that filled the house. We brought about… fourteen bins; now we only have six left.
We have a huge stack of empty bins outside our back door.
But which means I’m exhausted. And I wrote this post last night as I waited for my baby to fall asleep.
So please have a restful and chill Wednesday. I will try as well. ❤️
…
The red cape,
Flies into the air.
Baby giggles and cheers,
Combine with,
The crunching of leaves.
Unusual outfit,
But uncontrollable smiles.
Layers mean colors;
Colors means glee.
Fall,
Might be a crisp,
Crafty haven.
But to a child;
It is..
Enchantment,
Excitement,
And vibrant,
To be free!
…
This poem is based, once again, on my sweet baby girl. On Saturday we were moving a bunch of things so I wasn’t present when additional selections were added to her outfit. A Santa hat and Superman cape. She already had cowboy boots on.
It was a sight to see. But as she played on the trailer and we busily moved things around; I stopped and watched her for a hot minute. She was laughing and catching the leaves while they fell to the ground. It was pure happiness in her smiles.
I hope your Tuesday is filled with Fall and big big smiles! Have a happy Tuesday! 🍁☺️
Life still continues.
…
We change,
Mature,
And grow.
Feeling pain,
Excitement,
And occasionally…
Peace.
Living apart,
Together,
And at a distance.
Loving never dies,
Always thrives.
And never divides.
…
Recently the hubby and I have been discussing trying to move. However nothing seems to fit. We’ve grown up. Before, we would have jumped at any good sounding deal. Instead now we sit and dwell on the idea before deciding. And lately, our decision, has been to not take the deal, because the the risk is too high.
Also, the idea of moving reminds me of my family that lives far away. I miss them all. At least I get to see them in December.
Enjoy your Monday. If you get to see your family or family member today; give them a big hug! Some of us in the world want to, but they live to far away. But the love is still there, and always will be. ❤️
It’s definitely fall where I’m at, but I still love to post pictures of flowers. So that I remember what they look like as we enter winter.
This vacation was to visit the newest baby addition to my sister in-law’s family. All the way to Kentucky.
Our trip was a total of 5 days…
Day 1 Drive eight hours.Hotel. Day 2 direct flight to Cincinnati, drive 10min to Kentucky. Day 3 Kentucky. Day 4 Kentucky. Day 5 Fly plus drive the eight hours. 😩
Day 5 was the worst.
But enough of the depressing things I’ll post some pictures. 🥰
It’s funny how my mind and my hubby’s mind work differently. Haha 😂 Elizabeth wanted up. This was going to be a fun day, if we were only into the drive by 3 hours.
We went exploring because we got there a bit before we could check in. Next step swimming in the pool to get the wiggles out!!
Scratch that. The pool at our hotel is closed. So we went to the park and let Elizabeth get her wiggles out. The hotel was really crappy. In all our experiences, it was the second worst ever. The first being a weed smelling infested hotel that made me puke. So this one was just a smidge better because it did not smell but it was pretty bad.
I don’t know if you remember Elizabeth with her backpack…but man, was that a life saver! If you have a two year old, get one. It was amazing.
I would suggest wiping down things that claim to be clean. It never is. I’ve been doing this even before Covid. Just because my child has always been curious. She touches everything.
Finally to Kentucky. It is beautiful. It’s green! But wow it is humid!! It was 50 something degrees and I was drenched. Compared to home it felt like the air was giving me a sweaty hug. 🥵
Next, an outing in Kentucky.
It was truly amazing!! Except at this area they had fake thunder noises and Elizabeth got scared. She got some extra mama snuggles.
This last picture we had gone up to the third floor of the ark and was slowly making our way down. It was huge!!
Walking threw the ark made me realize something. Noah was the creator of the term rustic. Whoever claims otherwise is a liar. He started it all. Haha 😆
Elizabeth was Done! at around 2:00. My sister-in-law and brother-in-law do not understand because they have a 1 month year old. Their child is fine as long as she gets to eat and sleep. Not so true for a 2 year old. And I must say! Elizabeth walked almost the entirety of the day…except the first floor of the ark. (It was too crowded and the thunder). My fitbit said I did almost 10,000 steps by this point! But she did amazing. Also we got there around 9:30. So it had been 4.5hrs. But the grandparents and the new parents did not understand.
So around 3:00…the hubby and I were Done! We got the keys to the car and took back our screaming child. The instant we got in the car, she snuggled into me and slept. It was nap time. She probably napped for a good hour and a half. I probably got 30min.
Nap time plus waiting was a total of 3 hours before everyone else showed up…😕 it would have been nice to go back to the hotel before dinner.
Bedtime was interesting… Kentucky is 2 hours ahead of us. So when it was 10pm there, it really felt like 8pm. I feel bad for our neighbors because Elizabeth was finally falling asleep around 11:30 every night.
A park near their house.
The day at the park was day four. It was warmer, but with a warmer temp meant sweating from the humidity. If it wasn’t humid and the life pace was a bit slower this would be a wonderful place to live.
Day 5
We had to wake up at 3:50am. 😒 It was good because we still had the eight hour drive after the flight. But it felt like our 1:50am. I was still on our home town time….😵
Finally back home. There is no place like home!!
Sadly we are missing church today. Because Elizabeth had a cough and a runny nose last night.
I believe it was my fault. I was warm and didn’t think we needed the heater. But I should have thought of Elizabeth…😔
It randomly started snowing yesterday and it’s supposed to be cold for a few days.
So sadly we will be missing church to get over a slight cold. I don’t want to be that mom that brings a cold to church.
So enjoy your Sunday!! ❤️ Elizabeth is still sleeping. That tells me she doesn’t feel good. Because she normally is like clockwork and is up by 7am.
My mom sent me this photo yesterday saying one of my nephews took it. It is so beautiful that I needed to share. I will definitely be painting this in the future. 👏
